Cream Wafers

1 cup soft butter
⅓ cup cream
2 cup flour

Frosting:
¼ cup soft butter
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla.
1 egg yolk
Tint red or green with food coloring

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Mix ingredients together. Chill. Roll out to ⅛” on floured board. Cut with 1 ½-inch cutter. Roll ⅓ at a time and keep the rest refrigerated. Transfer cookies to waxed paper heavily covered with sugar. Turn so both sides are sugared. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Prick about 4 times with toothpick. Bake for 7-9 minutes. Cool and sandwich together with frosting.
