Hot Buttered Rum

lb. real butter - very soft, but not melted

1 lb. brown sugar (about 3 cups)

1 tsp. ground cinnamon and nutmeg

¼ tsp. ground cloves


Mix and whip all ingredients. Add to 2 pints of vanilla ice cream, softened. Add 1-3 tsp. of mixture to hot water, add rum.
