Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Meatballs:

1 lb. ground turkey
1 lb. pork sausage
3 tbsp. cornstarch
4 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp. sherry
1 egg
3 tbsp. soy sauce

Sauce:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
¾ cup sugar
⅓ cup vinegar
⅓ cup water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sherry
1 tbsp. oriental plum sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

To Prepare Meatballs:

Combine all ingredients, mixing well.

Spoon mixture, a heaping teaspoon full at a time, onto shallow pan and bake for 15 minutes.

Remove from tray, drain, and cool.

To Prepare Sauce:

Combine cornstarch and sugar. Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and sherry. Heat in heavy pan, stirring until thickened. Stir in the plum sauce.

Add meatballs to sauce and serve in chafing dish.
